Engels expected to stay at Celtic

Celtic midfielder Arne Engels is expected to stay at the club in this transfer window. 

Your Site News understands a number of Bundesliga clubs are keen on the Belgium international - with RB Leipzig making an enquiry for the player.

However, its believed Engels is happy at Celtic and wants to help the club fight to retain the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Engels is also said to be really enjoying playing under returning manager Martin ONeill and his assistants Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham. 

The 22-year-old joined Celtic from Augsburg in the summer 2024 for a club-record fee of 11m.
